The animation isn't very impressive, but the mood and plot are quite compelling. I actually enjoyed this quite a bit due to its absurdity, but without it feeling too random.
Also, the fact that you didn't reveal what was inside the briefcase was a nice tease.
Overall, I like it, but the animation just needs more movement and I think it could be really great.

Gerkinman responds:

I am glad you enjoyed my dinky little short.

Putting atmosphere ahead of animation quality was a very conscious decision. The free time to work on animation is a very rare thing for me so I try to make the most of the limited time I have available and have tried to tailor the aesthetic of my work around those limitations.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. :)

Simple, but cute. I liked the chill nature of this video. I think if the backgrounds and/or characters were just a bit more interesting design-wise, this could be really great.

That was really funny. The escalation with each kill was great. Having it take place all within a single shot worked out really well too. Great job.

ChutneyGlaze responds:

yes thank you! I did it because i thought it would be easy but it was very hard still

Great stuff. Nice animation and nice voice acting. That was way funnier than it should have been. I dig it.

Great animation. Really fun and crazy, but the logic of the "game" allowed it to not feel like just random nonsense.

Very charming with the artstyle and animation (while it was limited, it added to the charm), but the main character's voice acting wasn't as good as it should have been. There were a few sound effects missing like when she smacks into the wall, but besides that I really liked it.

Damn. This is a superb episode. Probably my favorite yet. Great comedy and very engaging throughout.

Aaron-Long responds:

Thanks, I'm glad to hear it!

Entertaining. The visuals and style is very 1930s, but the narration and the anti-communism stuff felt very 1950s to me. Not that it can't have aspects from multiple eras, but it felt a little offputting(?) to me that it seemed to want to be specifically 1930s, yet felt more like the 50s. Not that that is really a problem, just felt a little off to me. I don't know if that's a real criticism, but I liked it besides that.

KloudKat responds:

Yeah I know exactly what you mean about that. I looked up and there were smaller red scares around the time period, but yeah it doesn't really have the same impact. I was gonna make other, more time appropriate jokes, like more Great Depression and there was a joke about the Weimar republic and alluding to everyone not realising WW2 was just around the corner, but I had to cut for time. I think I got a little too attached to the Communist jokes in this one.

I really like the idea of robots in a zoo with 1930s flair. The animation was alright, and the background art didn't really feel 1930s (maybe it was the colors), but it was entertaining.

DannyBG responds:

Yeah, I was trying to replicate the water colors backgrounds of the style and was kind of figuring it out on the go.

This is fantastic. I loved the music, and the visuals are great. It has the 1930s aesthetic, but it also felt like a giant robot anime. Really outstanding work.

Don't let the sludge run sour.
